Matigan, originally from Northern Virginia, fell in love with performing at six years old when she began attending a Shakespeare summer camp and participated in her first show. She attended every year until she was old enough to work as a counselor there, all because she wanted to be allowed to direct the plays. This passion for theater and responsibility led her to high school theater, where she acted, ushered, or worked tech for every show her school put up, all while assistant directing at her middle school’s theater club. Matigan was the first student to take both Technical Theater and Dramatic Arts at the same time at her school and by her senior year was both a supporting character and head of tech, which made for some very busy rehearsals. Upon graduating high school, Matigan moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Conservatory training only strengthened her work ethic and dedication, which carried her to graduation in April 2020, where she “walked the stage” over Zoom.
Matigan is eager to bring shows to life with Face to Face and is thrilled to be an ensemble member of such a great company.
