Founder and Artistic Director, Anthony M. Laura, is an independent filmmaker and published playwright known for writing, producing, and directing his own work. He has been an avid film buff since a very young age and has always been fascinated with stories involving women.  

 

Face to Face Films was created in order to focus on smaller stories about real people.  It's his hope as a filmmaker to take stories about people that are not regularly understood and give them a voice. 

Anthony has been inspired by such greats as Peter Bogdanovich, Woody Allen, Todd Haynes, John Cassavetes, David Lynch. His love of film also lead him to be heavily influenced by foreign filmmakers such as Ingmar Bergman, Robert Bresson, Francois Truffaut, Agnes Varda, and Bernardo Bertolucci, and James L. Brooks.
