EMERSON BUCHOLZ
Originally from the West Coast, Emerson moved to NYC in late 2019 to restart his acting career after a 25+ year hiatus from performing… just in time for the pandemic. He made use of the “Covid lockdown” by practicing voice and acting with T. Schreiber Studio (TSS) via Zoom, which connected him with creative people around the world and kept him from climbing apartment walls. He continues to study at TSS as time permits.
Emerson recently played Vincent in FacetoFaceFilms’ production of A Place for Us at the Chain Theater’s One Act Festival. Other New York theatrical credits include As You Like It (Adam/Martext), Arizona (George), Grey Spectrum (Thomas), and Mangos or Peaches: But More Importantly Should They Be Canned (Leslie). Recent film work includes Elite Match (Jonathan / Kathy Meng Films), Not Like the Other Girls (Jack Morgan / Gingerpants Productions), and the award-winning Here for Now (Syd Louben / Hofstra University), among others.
He lives at the boundary of the Chelsea and Flatiron neighborhoods in Manhattan with his spouse and a black Labrador Retriever named Caleb. He loves animals, history, language, and Betty White memes; and wants to start dancing again.
