MIA ROSE KAVENSKY
Mia has been involved in the creative and communicative arts since the age of 10. She began her drama education at John Robert Powers in 2004 and was a stage actress in summer stock theatre. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois, Mia made the move out to New York to take on the role of Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada and took a job in the Fashion/PR world. After working on a fashion campaign for The Greatest Showman, Mia had a lightbulb moment and realized she was meant to be telling stories in the entertainment space again. She resumed honing her craft at T.Schreiber Studio in New York as well as Meisner training with Raymond T. Williams and Sensory with Sheila Gray. Upon booking a lead role in a feature film shooting in Peru (The Devil’s Teardrop, currently in post-production) she left her corporate job to pursue storytelling full-time.
You can find Mia at the Toronto and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals originating the role of Rachel in Rachel's Out-Of-This-World Bat Mitzvah and in Room 9 (Lionsgate, Amazon). She just wrapped production on her own personal short film And Along Came Lily where she starred as Lily, a young woman navigating The Pleasure Gap.
When Mia isn't acting, you can find her perusing the vintage shops of Brooklyn, nose deep in a novel or downward dogging in Hot Yoga.
